Who is responsible
Adam Doherty, trading as Stride Studios in Derry, Northern Ireland, is responsible for this website, project enquiries and business outreach. Contact stridestudios@hotmail.com with a question about your information or to stop contact.
When you visit or enquire
Our website serves its fonts, images and videos from our hosting provider. It does not include advertising trackers or analytics scripts. The project form prepares a draft in your browser; it does not submit or save that draft on our server. You choose whether to send it using your email application. If you email us, we use your message and contact details to discuss and administer your enquiry or project, taking steps at your request before a contract and performing the contract where applicable. The host processes normal request information such as IP address and requested pages to deliver and secure the website.
What information we use
We research businesses using their public websites and public company records. Records can include a business name, website, company number, published business email address, relevant website extracts and screenshots, source links, research dates, a proposed website design, and our correspondence. A business contact's name or address may be personal information even when it is publicly available. You may also provide information directly when you reply.
Why we use it
We use the information to assess whether our freelance website service is relevant to a business, make a limited introduction where permitted, handle enquiries, and avoid unwanted repeat contact. Where this involves personal information, we rely on legitimate interests in developing relevant business relationships, balanced against the person's interests and rights. This does not replace consent where consent is required for the contact method.
Our current cold-email pilot is limited to verified UK incorporated businesses and published generic business addresses. We do not treat a public address as permission to send personal coaching marketing. A reply stops the automated sequence and passes the conversation to Adam. An objection stops further marketing.
Technology and service providers
Public website material is analysed by a model running locally on our Mac to help prepare research and drafts. Our worker performs the recorded sending checks. This does not involve decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about individuals.
Microsoft Outlook handles email. Make connects the local worker to the Stride mailbox and processes message content and delivery/reply information needed for that connection. Our website host, Netlify, receives normal web-request information when you visit this notice. We do not sell prospect lists. Access is limited to the people and providers needed to operate this service.
These providers may process information outside the UK. Their privacy information describes their international processing and safeguards. You can contact us about the safeguards relevant to your information. See Microsoft's privacy statement, Make's privacy notice and Netlify's privacy statement linked below.
How long information is kept
We keep research and correspondence for as long as needed to assess relevance, conduct the limited outreach or an active business conversation, and handle requests or disputes. The decision depends on whether there is an active enquiry, an ongoing customer relationship, an objection, or another documented reason to retain the record. Information that is no longer needed should be removed after review. We retain a minimal do-not-contact record to honour objections rather than re-importing an address and contacting it again.
Your choices and rights
You can object to direct marketing at any time by replying “stop” or emailing stridestudios@hotmail.com. You do not have to give a reason. We will stop marketing to you.
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access to, correction or erasure of your personal information, or restriction of its processing. Where applicable, you can request portability or withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/
Providing information in response to our introduction is optional. There is no obligation to reply or buy anything.
